When you sign up, we gather the details you give us, for example your email address. To keep the service running we also record some technical data about your device and connection. The sites you visit, your DNS queries and your browsing history are never collected.
The data we hold is used to run and improve TunnelBear, to contact you about your service, and to uphold our Terms of Service.
Your personal information is never sold to third parties. It may be passed to service providers that help us run TunnelBear, or disclosed where the law demands it.
Account details stay on file while your account remains active. If you delete your account, which you can do whenever you like, your personal information is erased within 30 days.
Your information is protected with security measures that follow industry standards: TLS encryption covers data in transit, and AES-256 encryption covers data at rest.
