How to connect to TunnelBear

Connecting to TunnelBear takes just a few seconds. Follow these steps to get started:

Open the TunnelBear app on your device.
If you haven't already, create a free account or log in.
Choose a country from the map or the country list — the tunnel connects automatically.
The bear animation and a green status light confirm you are protected.

Switching countries

To change your virtual location, simply tap another country on the map or select it from the list. TunnelBear will reconnect in seconds.

Toggle the switch at the top of the app to disconnect. Your traffic will route through your normal connection immediately.
